DIGI Awards Open to Entries

SEATTLE (June 16, 2009)––The Digital Signage Group together with Digital Signage Magazine and The Digital Signage Show are now accepting entries for the 2009 DIGI Awards. From retail stores to corporate offices to public spaces, the success of dynamic digital signage as a powerful medium for advertising, information, and entertainment is increasing everyday. And resellers, dealers, and integrators have the critical role of ensuring that every digital signage installation is a successful one.

This year’s DIGI Awards will once again recognize the resellers, integrators and service providers who have gone the extra mile to ensure success for their clients, thereby furthering the digital signage industry as a whole. “It has been exciting to see the continued growth of this awards program on a worldwide basis”, stated Jill H. Miller, President of The Digital Signage Group.

The 2009 DIGI Awards will honor 15 winners this year with categories focusing on retail and non-retail applications. Winners receive a trophy recognizing their achievement as well as a graphic suitable for use in promotional materials. All partners, including those involved in the software, content, fixture and hardware of the winning installations, will receive a certificate to recognize their contribution.

The winners will be announced at a reception during the fall Digital Signage Show in New York City at Javitz Center, November 10-11, 2009. Additionally, winners will be invited to participate in a round table to discuss their winning deployment, content, product, etc.

This year the DIGI Awards will be open to all digital signage installations completed in 2009, regardless of the application or the number of screens installed. Any reseller, integrator and service provider who has been the primary client contact for a digital signageapplication installed after November 2008 through 2009 is eligible to submit that installation for an award. In the categories of new product, the product must have been launched after November 2008 through 2009. Entries are accepted at www.digitalsignagedirectory.com

Digi Award Winners Announced 2008.5

October was a good time for the Digi Awards 2008.5 to happen in the big apple. The air was fresh and the nominees were waiting anxiously with all the suspense of  being a  young trick or treater on candy night.

The blogosphere was especially anxious while waiting for the news and we apologize for the delay! We did not want to release too soon because we left early for the show for meetings.  So, we did it when we returned. We hope this did not cause anyone to self combust and we appreciate your care and concern for these great awards.

No More Mexican Food

 Today is a good day for me (after being sick for two weeks from eating Mexican food) I finally feel human again and my apologies to anyone who had to deal with me the last two weeks. I think I am better now.

The highlight of this week was the addition of the www.thedigitalsignageshow.com new banners. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun it is to promote people who are nice to work with and offer a great trade show venue. They sincerely want to help the industry flourish and keep offering fresh new programs to the lineup of the show.  See the special events page here.

I just want to give many Kudos, Balloons, Hearts and Flowers to Joelle Coretti and Lawrence Dvorchik who are working very hard to make this years event phenomenal! If you have not been to a digital signage trade show in the  United States this a must visit show to put on your list.  Also, if you have registered as a contestant for the DIGI Awards this will be the hotter than hot spot ( where the winners are announced) so you will want to be there for that so we can get your picture and make you famous yes VERY, VERY FAMOUS I tell ya!

Hope everyone is having a fabuloso weekend and staying away from large retail chain Mexican food – (the margarita’s are ok) just not the food.

 This is LisaJ here from the Digital Signage Forum AND the newly created Digital Signage Directory!

We are very proud to announce our alliance. We have linked our websites together to use the best parts of each site AND We re-designed the Digital Signage Directory for a new look and feel! There are many new features such as write a review, rate a business, You Tube video promos and premiere banner advertising spots that have opened.

The directory listings themselves are much more intuitive and offer a wide range of ways to contact, see a location map and do indepth search functions.  You won’t believe your eyes because the site itself is feature rich and we will be turning on more of those enhanced features over the weeks to come ( we know you web techy’s love ALL of those additional features) and it is SO much fun!
